Jaya Bhagavan (Victory to God)!
The path to Enlightenment and Liberation is anything but a straight line. In the months following our beloved Durga Ma’s mahasamadhi (final liberation) we have all had our personal experiences of what this loss represents, and the gifts bestowed within.
Durga Ma was a spiritual giant in a modern world of imposing separation, suffering, and ignorance. I place the emphasis on world because it is the very thing she was dedicated to waking us up from.
Many people understood her apparent discontent with the world to mean that she didn’t care, but it was in fact, quite the opposite. She cared more deeply than anyone I have had the great fortune to know. Durga Ma cared in the depths and ways only a Self-Realized saint could… from a place of resounding Truth.
This place, if you can call it that, is where we realize that the world isn’t bad, it just isn’t what we think it is.
Most importantly, this is the very realization that it necessary for our freedom from the suffering that colors our individual and collective experience of life. To know Truth is to have freedom from the bondage of ignorance, which is the ever-fertile birthplace of our suffering.
I remember sitting across from Durga Ma while she had me read her final post for Mystical Tidbits, she gave her final initiation and immortalized (in a sense) the ability for people to receive this exquisite sadhana (spiritual practice). My jaw dropped to the floor with a combination of shock, sheer delight, and excitement at such a radical and generous gift to the world… that was simply the person she was.
It is my sincere belief that we will be uncovering the many gifts Durga Ma bestowed upon her students, devotees, and the world for years to come. Such is the work of a saint. Jai Ma, Durga Ma. Jai Ma.
One of these gifts I am going to post here… a recording she made at some point speaking on the topic of surrender and non-doership. A brief and poignant explanation that really serves to bolster our understanding of Sahaja (Surrender) Meditation, enjoy!
Surrender and Non-doership talk with Durga Ma

P.S. As we continue to refine and organize the monumental works of Durga Ma’s life into a format and resource for seekers of Truth, I hope to continue to post here on Mystical Tidbits. If you should have any questions or requests, please feel free to contact me directly via email: anandibhagavan@gmail.com with a subject title: Durga Ma
Beloved Durga Ma!
Thank you for this video on non-doership. It is poignant, truth-laden, inspiring and unbeknown-to-me at the time it was given, was one of the first teachings my guru, Yogeshwar Muni, gave to me. Of course, then, I had not done enough surrender meditation to get the full meaning; after much contemplation, I only received the essence of the sloka yet did not get that it meant “non-doership”. Now, and with Durga Ma’s clear elucidation, I am inspired to surrender more deeply and accept the Truth!
And thanks to you, Anandi, for posting this video.
Love without end,
Ritam

Jaya Bhagavan! Isn’t the unveiling of the teachings such a joy… they continue to thrill us again and again! I am so blessed to have both Durga Ma and Yogeshwar’s recordings, along with many of Kripalu’s satsangs. Thank you for sharing and your continued commitment to sadhana, I think of you often and with great love!

Dear Anandi – good to hear from you!
I usually do address and give my thanks and ask for blessings before my sadhana from Shiva, Lakulish and Kripalu… and I found myself doing it with Ma too! She is often in my mind, and I pray for her blessings too!
So, my sadhana continues… I also gave one Enlightenment Intensive in Serbia recently…
Jaya Bhagawan! ❤
